Summary

It is fabricated and sintered product made mainly of Samarium and Cobalt, and although it is more expensive than Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet, it has stable temperature coefficient. It is brittle, and since Cobalt is expensive, the price is high.


Property

  High stability against temperature.
  Very high residual magnetic flux density (Br) and coercivity (iHc).
  Due to low machinability, grinding process with diamond is required..
  High brittleness.
  Due to low supply of raw material (Cobalt is low-reserved), the price is high.
  Very high residual magnetic flux density (Br) and coercivity (iHc).
  Able to be used without surface treatment (excellent resistance against corrosion compare to Nd-Fe-B magnet)
  The price is very high since there is not enough reserve among Rare Earth elements.


Use

Speaker, Motors (Stepping, Coreless, Servo), Sensors, Gauge, etc.
